Four Seasons Maps Its 2027 Global Expansion

Four Seasons' annual "Where to Go in 2027" release lays out a wave of new openings and reopenings -- including a return to Berlin after roughly two decades and a reborn Hotel Danieli in Venice -- plus expanded yacht and private-jet itineraries.

On October 20, 2026, Four Seasons used its newsroom to publish "Where to Go in 2027," the company's annual look-ahead at where it's opening, reopening, and sending guests next. It matters to points travelers less because of any single property and more because of the pattern: Four Seasons is pushing hard back into major gateway cities (Berlin, Venice) it had quietly exited or never cracked, while widening its footprint in the Caribbean, East Africa, and Asia -- all territory where FHR, Virtuoso, and premium-card perks already apply.

What it is

  • A return to Berlin after roughly 20 years: the historic Hotel de Rome is being converted into Four Seasons Hotel Berlin, wrapping in late 2027.
  • The long-anticipated Four Seasons Hotel Danieli in Venice -- uniting three historic palaces on the Grand Canal -- targeted for 2026.
  • New-market openings and residences in Cartagena, plus properties cited for the Dominican Republic (Tropicalia), Belize, Zanzibar, and Okinawa.
  • A reopening of the Biltmore Santa Barbara, including a new Nobu Santa Barbara restaurant.
  • Four Seasons Yachts expanding its 2027 Mediterranean and Caribbean season to add Egypt and Costa Rica.
  • New 2027 private-jet journeys, priced from roughly $239,000 per person.

What's not known yet

Exact opening dates are still soft for several properties -- Cartagena's timing wasn't specified, and some outlets list Venice's Danieli for "2026" while Berlin is "late 2027." Four Seasons also doesn't publish award-night pricing or a points currency of its own, so none of this is bookable with transferable points directly.

The points angle

Four Seasons has no hotel points program, so access runs through three parallel doors: Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts (free with Platinum/Centurion -- breakfast for two, a room upgrade subject to availability, roughly $100 property credit, guaranteed 4pm late checkout), Virtuoso (via a travel advisor, similar core benefits), or Four Seasons Preferred Partner (also advisor-booked, typically the strongest upgrade priority and a $200 suite credit). None of these let you redeem Hyatt, Marriott, or Hilton points at a Four Seasons -- but transferable bank points (Amex MR, Chase UR, Capital One miles) can fund the stay in cash while the card or advisor relationship stacks the perks on top.

The move

If Berlin or Venice interest you for 2027, book through Amex Platinum's FHR portal or a Virtuoso/FSPP advisor now for 2027 dates once rates post -- don't wait for a points redemption option that isn't coming. For the Caribbean/East Africa openings, treat them the same way: cash rate plus FHR/Virtuoso perks, not a transfer-partner award.
